Meeting –3/3/05    Minutes
The meeting was called to order at 11:00 am.   Sec. Fulton took the roll. Present was Comm. Welch, Comm.Camardo and Comm. Brennan. Also present was John Salomone, City Manager; Gary Giannotta, Police Chief and Tom Leone, Corporation Counsel and the Fire Chief, Michael Quill.
Approve minutes
Motion made to approve minutes of the 2/3/05 meeting. Motion to approve made by Comm. Camardo and seconded by Comm. Brennan. Motion carried 3-0.
New Business
School District
1.      Review roster and establish eligible list for the exam for Receptionist for the school district  #69-144.  Motion to accept mad e by Comm. Brennan, seconded by Comm. Camardo. Motion carried 3-0.
Fire Dept.
The Secretary of this Commission was asked by he Fire Chief to contact New York Civil Service and fin out if there  are state regulated medical standards for firefighters prior to attending the academy. Will Fulton, the secretary spoke with Mary Carli, the NYS consultant, and she said there are no state regulated medical standards prior to the fire academy, therefore the Fire Chief will set local medical standards for the City of Auburn.

1.Police Dept.
Discussion of backgrounds checks continued. The City manger stated that he will set up a policy for these checks and submit to this Commission for approval.
